Product Specifications

Roof Soffit Lining Acoustical Infratop System with Necessary Hardware

Product Overview

Roof Soffit Lining Acoustical Infratop System is used for under-roof soffit areas where ventilation, acoustic support, roof protection, and wood aesthetic finish are required. The system consists of lightweight acoustical Infratop panels with visible 4 mm perforations for air circulation and ventilation.

The panels are designed to provide a wood-like semi-matt surface finish while being durable, low-maintenance, non-toxic, non-flammable, and resistant to decay, rust, fungus, mildew, pests, and insects. The system is installed with suitable Galvanized Iron / Aluminium framing, trims, connecting profiles, and necessary hardware as per site conditions and approved drawings.

Purpose

The purpose of this soffit lining system is to protect the roof underside, improve ventilation, support acoustic performance, and provide a clean wood aesthetic finish.

It helps in:

  • Providing proper roof ventilation and air circulation
  • Protecting roof areas from moisture, fungi, and mold formation
  • Preventing insect entry through specially shaped perforations
  • Enhancing acoustic comfort in soffit and roof areas
  • Giving a wood-like decorative ceiling/soffit appearance
  • Supporting additional roof insulation and roof life
  • Reducing maintenance compared to natural wood soffit lining

Installation Layer / Actual Process

1. Base Roof Soffit / Structural Surface

The work starts from the existing roof soffit or structural underside. The surface, levels, panel direction, ventilation requirement, and fixing layout are checked as per approved architectural drawings and EIC instructions.

2. Marking & Setting Out

Panel layout, edge lines, trim positions, fixing points, and service openings are marked at site to achieve the proposed design and proper alignment.

3. GI / Aluminium Backing Frame

A suitable backing frame is prepared using Galvanized Iron / Aluminium sections as per site condition, soffit height, span, and design requirement.

The frame provides support for panel fixing and helps maintain line, level, and stability of the soffit system.

4. Edge Trims & Connecting Profiles

Suitable trims and connecting profiles are fixed to achieve clean edges, joints, and panel continuity.

  • Edge trim size: 40 mm x 19 mm x 22 mm x 12 mm x 3850 mm
  • Connecting profile size: 67 mm x 3850 mm
  • Connecting profile thread: 42 mm

5. Infratop Panel Fixing

Acoustical Infratop panels are fixed onto the prepared frame using approved hardware and installation accessories.

  • Panel size: 340 mm x 3850 mm
  • Visible perforation: 4 mm
  • Panels installed in proper alignment as per design
  • Fixing carried out to avoid gaps, leakage, looseness, or uneven joints

6. Ventilation & Acoustic Check

Ventilation openings and perforations are checked to ensure proper air circulation and roof ventilation. Panel joints and fixing quality are checked to maintain acoustic performance and avoid sound leakage or vibration issues.

7. Final Finishing & Inspection

The completed soffit surface is checked for alignment, level, joint uniformity, finish quality, edge detailing, ventilation clearance, and overall appearance. Final work shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge / Project Officer.
